Is The LG V30 The Most Underrated Smartphone?

The LG V30 has a fancy new color. This one here is called Raspberry Rose. I realized that I haven't done an unboxing of an LG smartphone in quite a while. So here we are the LG V30 in Raspberry Rose gets the Unbox Therapy treatment. What do you guys think, what's your favorite feature on the V30? Would you consider purchasing it?

It's because the LG V30 measures the impedance of your headset to properly drive them with enough current. Too much current can cause distortion, so LG is avoiding that. I have the V30. I use it with my car's AUX port. It sounds so good, so clear, so FUCKING loud, I no longer put the volume on max. Sometimes I feel I'm in the studio!

It's a DIGITAL TO ANALOG CONVERTER.

A DAC is not an AMP. It will not amplify the signal, it will only output more clear audio: that's a lower noise floor, lower distortion, higher resolution.

Know what to expect. For best showcase of this dac play lossless audio files with extremely high bitrates.

I've been using a LG G6 since October 2017, and I've gotta say, I'm in love. The dual camera is great, the UI is very clean (although I'm using a Galaxy S8 Icon Pack because I prefer the look of these), and for 420€ it was quite a steal. I can only recommend it!

Still love using the classic V20. No fruitloop bootloop problems, excellent audio DAC, wonderful cams and removable battery (got 4 in standby); excellent for people who actually travel a lot and still one of the underrated mobiles.

You didn't even touch on the cinelog feature. The V in V30 stands for video and you didn't even talk about its features. Even it's point zoom feature is unique.

I have an LG G6. Love it. The wide angle camera is a game changer and probably an underrated feature of these phones. When I come back from a vacation and compare the photo's I took compared to my girlfriend's S8 (which makes great photo's) it really shows just how much more dramatic and complete your shots are of the scenery and places you encounter. You will only use the regular lens for very specific shots and the wide lens becomes the default.

I've had mine about 2 beats any phone out there hands down. Best phone EVER! I've had the Apple IPhone's and Samsung Galaxy and as long as LG keeps this up I'll never go back.

Bit of false information in your video. The V30 does have a much higher volume but you need a high impedance 50+ Ohms Headphones to activate this mode. The V30 has a DAC that can power up to 600 Ohms headphones.

I went from an IPhone to an LG G5 and now I'm moving to the v30...I will never switch back from the LG...is my mobile office...love the Finger Print reader / push button on the back...best feature by far...

The LG V20 (and probably V30) recognises what headphones you have connected, and adjusts the power output accordingly. It can drive some rather demanding headphones at high volumes. I've connected my Beyerdynamic DT990 Pro with 250 Ohm to a Xiaomi Mi6 with supplied USB-C audio adapter, and at full volume it's at normal volume, and the sound is ok. But the V20 goes way beyond that. The sound is better, fuller, and they go much, much louder. Louder than anyone should be listening to music to. I don't think there's any other phone (apart from the V series) that can drive these headphones properly. I think the V20 might even be able to drive the 600 Ohm DT990 (most headphones are below 50 Ohm).

My V30+ is just barely starting to slow down just a bit but I've had it since launch. It's been a reliable device even without frequent updates, would recommend.
