Pegasus works only on a selected target for a fixed period of time and costs millions of dollars per application... I'm not feeling threatened and unless you are a very, VERY, high profile individual neither should you. This is hardly the genuine threat of people wasting their lives with social media.

It's more profitable to develop an app with a vulnerability or two.
Then you'll make money in at least two different manners. You'll have the normal market and then you'll sell a vulnerability to one or both sides.
