How To Build (and not build) A Climbing Gym

If you’re someone who is considering building a climbing gym, or someone who is growing their existing business, my specialty is helping project Owners transform their initial ideas into successfully completed building projects.

Climbing is a central part of my life, and continues to be a way for me to learn and grow, like it is for a lot of people. When I was 15, my first climbing gym membership was in Rhode Island, at a co-op with pea gravel and 20ft tall DIY walls. To be able to work with owners to dream up facilities that are not only remarkable and cutting edge climbing gyms, but also meaningful architecture and inspiring spaces that anyone who comes into them will be in awe of and get to enjoy, is something that I’m truly grateful for.

The goal is to make incredible architecture that is based on climbing, not just another climbing gym to fill a need in the market. The good news is that we don’t need to blow a huge budget to get there, if we are smart with how setup the space and strategic with how we run the project development process.

Im 20 years old, love climbing, but my closest gym is a half hour drive so i end up not going as much as i want to. I hope to reach out to you in the coming years once i save some starting capital to build my own gym, i dont know if i could make it happen without guidance and you seem so knowledgeable.
