With all of the startling discoveries from the JWST, why isn't the term, BIG BANG, being omitted from meaningful discussions?

And if the universe is expanding where is the starting point of the expansion

This guy deGrass Tyson appears to be one smart cookie. That said, there is no way he takes in all this information and more and not go gaga one or two times during his career. I tip my hat to him.

Nice production but at no time did you explain the main reason for distant galaxies becoming invisible to us.
Surely it's that due to the expansion of space itself, the early objects from the Big Bang are moving away from us at speeds now exceeding the speed of light so that they are receeding faster than the light emitted by those objects.

I always thought of the voids being like windows to the outside of our observable universe ! Would be wild if a more powerful telescooe observed another universe then we would know our universe is not infinite ! And prove out the multiverse theory !

What an amazing overview of the scope and accessibility (i.e., the current understanding of/or knowing) of the universe. 🍂🍃🌈

A 13 billion year old universe should be made up of mostly 5 billion year old civilizations that would have had the time, the knowledge, and the populations to build the universe. A man made bang for every galaxy rather than one big bang.

Why are words like “gory”, “shocking observations”, “powerless to stop the expansion” (of the universe) used in describing JWST image? Are you trying to scare me that the sky is falling? And who had fingers “six billion years ago” to put on the changes to the formation of the universe. This reads like a bad science fiction movie from the 1950’s.
