Indigenous Language Revitalization

Dahti Tsetso enrolled in UVic’s Diploma in Indigenous Language Revitalization program as a way to learn the Dene Zhatie language and restore a key, missing part of her identity as well as strengthen the language in her community. The program is a partnership between UVic, the Dehcho First Nation, the Dehcho Divisional Education Council and the communities of Fort Providence and Fort Simpson, NWT.
