That Kalistani nationalism is an issue in Canada shows there's been problems with the assimilation process. Imagine if an American moved to France, and then tried to make Texan succession a major issue.

I get so upset thinking about what our government has done to our country. It doesn’t feel like the place I grew up in.

The problem is USA has accepted best of the lot from India and Canada the worst. 😂

USA took best of Indians, Canada took some worst of Indians.

I was having this same conversation with my barber. He was a Syrian refugee who arrived in 2016. He opened his own shop by renting a vacant store, and started off from scratch. It was a slow start, but through hard work he has a large enough clientele that he has hired another barber and you now have to call to make an appointment rather than just drop in. He is making mortgage payments on a humble house, and he has his two boys enrolled in a French immersion school. He was telling me that his kids are way more fluent in English and French than Arabic, which he said was a good thing. He then told me that he knows of other Syrians who arrived with him are still living in the same hotel they were put up in when they arrived, collecting welfare and have made absolutely no effort to learn any English or French since they’ve been here. He seemed rather disappointed in his fellow countrymen. I have absolutely no problem welcoming immigrants like my barber as he contributes more than he took. The others, not so much.

Unchecked immigration is the problem. Many individuals with questionable background from India came to Canada. Some gained access by playing human rights card. Multiple warnings from the Indian government to the Canadian authorities have gone unanswered. Perhaps Canada believed they were valuable assets in a broader geopolitical game.

I foresee a recession lasting 2-3 years, and if inflation continues to surge, the Federal Reserve will likely raise interest rates soon. Inflation is causing various issues worldwide, such as food shortages, scarcities of diesel and heating fuel, and significant spikes in housing prices, leading to a potential financial market crash. This global downturn could have long-lasting repercussions. Given the current inflation rate of approximately 9%, my main worry is how to optimize my savings and retirement fund, which has remained stagnant at around $300, 000, yielding almost no gains for quite some time.

One thing to note, that the overwhelming majority of immigrants from India are from Punjab. There's an obvious immigration racketing schemes happening there that are getting support probably from Canadian government actors.

Becoming harder and harder to have open, honest communication about the tough issues. Cancel culture is very threatening.

My parents came to Canada as refugees and I had the privilege of being born in Canada. My parents came here 30+ years ago and worked their asses off to make a better life for themselves. They adopted the culture and values here and I, having been born and raised in Canada have a mix of my own cultural roots and Canadian values. I am currently attending a college in Ontario and I’m shocked at the students that are at my school. 90% are Indian, which is not a problem, but I will say that probably more than 50% of them could care less about what they’re studying. Some can barely speak and write English, and the quality of work being put out is poor. I question the integrity of my school for giving them passing grades. Some of my Indian classmates have shared how there are agencies in India that have a list of schools in Canada where you can receive PR after graduation. That’s all they want. They only want PR. As a Canadian born from immigrants, I also believe Canada should have a more strict immigration policy. Many of the immigrants coming into the country these days are wealthy in their home countries, and are only here to make more money rather than to actually be a Canadian and contribute to the country like immigrants and refugees from 20+ years ago. It’s really a shame.

I don't mind immigrants but it's how homogeneous they are. It's literally ALL Indians. My university classes are literally 80-90% Indians. My professors are Indians who don't speak English well. The apartment my family lives in is mostly Indian residents and the staff has been slowly replaced with Indians as well. Might as well rename Canada to New India.

Mass immigration leads to the overall impoverishment of Canada, low social trust and quality of life, overburdened welfare state, and increase in crime.

As a proud resident Indian that doesn't intend to immigrate anywhere, you're right. When you go to a country, you respect their customs, period. I'd be equally pissed if people came to my state in droves and didn't at least try to speak Marathi after a few years. It's like the bare minimum. I hope the tension between our countries can end and we can visit each other some day.

100% agree with what you said. Canada has become something else, something a lot worse than before.

It's crazy how Khalistani movement is pretty much dead in India but these people in foreign land are keeping it alive for victim points

Yea, a lot of people don't even want to talk about immigration for fears of being perceived as racist.
The older Canadians see what's going on and are just keeping their mouth shut.

I live in Canada because my family was here for 200 years. Everything I thought was good is being destroyed...and I know why.

I remember in the 80s 90s we still could afford to live a good life. Today all we do is slave away just to pay taxation on land the government and crown claim to own
