Only 4 of these people actually did anything for his character development:

1) Sophia- the search for Sophia was the beginning of Daryl becoming a better person and developing into a huge part of the group

2) Merle- I know, "tHaTs HiS bRoThEr". Merle had to die for Daryl to finish his character development. Daryl would have never been able to transition into the good person that he did if Merle was still around and even I feel like Merle knew that and was why he went on that mission knowing he would die.

3) Beth- Beth got Daryl to open up even more and give us a huge look into Daryl's childhood

4) Glenn- Daryl literally beat himself up for idk how long about this death.

Dude put T-Dog on this list like it did something important 😂 Dude wasn't even phased, it didn't change his character, nothing. He was more worried about Carol than T-Dog.

I would argue that Leah didn't even do much either. Neither did Tara, Dale, Rosita, Herschel, Abraham, or even Carl. He didn't even have a lot of scenes to establish any actual connections with most of these people.
