The DSM-V has removed Asperger's as a diagnosis. It is called Autism Spectrum Disorder. My son was diagnosed at age 8 and he is 32 now. Has learned how to meet his challenges and is doing great.

On the point about empathy… we are also able to see the other side but it take more concerted effort and the thing about ageing out of it is just because we learn to deal with it

Yo your onto it ..ok born 1949 so impressed both parents with this outrageous mind started primary school @4 years spoke 2 languages English and Welsh, hated school the barbaric cruelty, and beatings, I really wanted to play down @the beach, both my parents were gifted my mother home school d me, an artist, a clever seamstress, she taught me Latin, incredible grammar, migrated to Australia 1964 yes paradise a 10 pound import I became an architect/ builder, a silk screen printer, own my tee shirt brand called Billy boy, just check out the meaning of what a BILLY is in Aussie culture, this brand is actually be similar to billabong. Its professionally called ASD, Autism spectrum disorder. And this is not correct information, as someone diagnosed with asd
