Thank you for sharing your recipe and experience! We are cooking our ham now. Our glaze is simple: brown sugar, mustard and a pinch of ground clove. I grew up watching my grandma push several thousand (a slight exaggeration) whole cloves into the ham and then cook it. She just stared at me when I let her in on the secret that there is actually ground clove available 😊
