Reincarnated as a slime is my favourite, its not filled with horny females lusting over the MC, Or dumb plot armour. It has really good world building and character development. aswell as amazing animation. The humour is also very funny. I love how they include shit from other shows and mangas and cross reference a bunch of shit. its so good.

Slime, Re Zero and Mushoku Tensei give me hope for some really good isekai to still exist

I have loved watching anime for a very long time. But it was Mushoku Tensei that got me into reading light novels. That series, even in book form, is by far one of the best stories out there.

i really enjoyed Grimgar since it is not a very typical isekai anime... it has a sirious atmosphere and i really liked the mystical touch with less explanations! it gave me a kinda scary imagination of being reincarnated into a fantasy world when other isekai animes transmit a wishful thinking about that... definately deserves more attention!

you have the anime's in here that just revolutionized the "genre" in a way or form..
SAO just full throttled the genre up.
Slime and Spider did the "as not the coolest thing to be reincarnated as" but ultimately I felt Slime became much more than the Spider one (in terms of reach)
Jobless Reincarnation just hit the nail on the head in terms of progression and animations and then.. the most over the top, so silly even the voice actor loves being over the top anime.. shadow...
Bringing back some core value, adding some "funny cause it's true" and internalizing the not so motivating motivation he has.. is brilliant.

Finally a solid list. Mushoku is the best iseikai i have seen. No sudden over power, clear rules and power up via character development and years of training.
