At least Valdez won't be able to commit numerous crimes anymore (I know he did as a fact). I'm sure this money will be well spent.

Some Denver officers run around like a pack of dogs and do see each other abuse authority and remain silent, their supervisors know of this and also remain silent to abuse . The mayor knows this also and if doesn't then why not ? Those who suppose to keep this unlawful practice in check should be looked at also, those officers that are found guilty should be fired and MADE to PAY these huge amounts of settlements then it will be considered before a trigger happy untrained officer over steps power of authority. Make those in government that do have the power to correct these criminal acts also pay these settlements ! The taxpayer NEVER AGREED to be the one to PAY these settlements for police that are THUGS and think a badge makes them think it's okay to go above law and become gods with authority and think they can do ANYTHING their authority balloon heads come up with .

Boulder County does it right. I can't figure out why it's so tyrannical in Denver.

He ended up losing to much blood and his heart stop a month later they rolled him out of the jail in a wheelchair and no charges because he didn't do anything wrong. He hasn't gotten any money and he probably won't get any michael valdez had horrible ptsd he is nervous when people walk up to him he fears the police for a injustice he faced.
