Bought one of these in December 2021. Very pleased with the purchase. I chose the steel auger for about 50 bucks more than the rubber one. Had a Torro corded thrower the last few years, but cutting the cord has been a work saver! This video accurately shows the power it has. I live in northern Illinois, and for larger snow amounts I have to get out there a couple of times. Great video!

I picked his unit up at my work yesterday. I’m tired of shoveling snow. Thanks for sharing

There is a sweet spot with these single stage blowers, if you have a inch of light powder keep the throttle dialed back, it's like you have to feed it snow for it to work properly.

That looks like some heavy, wet snow. Can't believe how quiet it is. Great share!

Just got one of these for our small, 4-unit condo building. We're an old building on the north side of Chicago, and we are on a corner, which means a lot of sidewalk to clear. Plus we have a 4-car garage and back alley and I like to clear the alley into the side street. I'm hoping this will be enough juice to clear all of this, but even if I have to do some shoveling, it's better than no blower at all. Thanks for this video. This helped seal the deal. Now we just need some snow. With climate change, we've been getting very irregular amounts and frequencies of snow here. It snowed about 5 inches, then dropped to -2F and now four days later it is 55F.Feels like spring at the start of January. Insane weather.

I had this model too, bought 12/2020. Used on snow and ice chunks at apron of driveway nov of this yr. Kept threatening to crap out every time I hit ice chunk and then DID crap out ...no power at all. Under warrantee so Lowes replaced with the new self-propelled single stage. Think twice before snow blowing the chunks !!

I works good on that baby bottom smooth asphalt, but I have concrete slabs that have some uneven joints which would be jarring each time hit one with the front lip of this model.

It looks like you need to slow down a bit and not rush it. The snowblower looks like it works well. However snow is rolling out the side causing you to go back over the same area again. SLOW DOWN DUDE. It would have done a better job if you just slow down. Good video Thx

Just once I wish they would say if the impeller propels it forward like the gas powered units.

I bought my ego used. Single stage steel Aguilar. We got 10” of heavy wet snow. I did our 3 car garage driveway. My sidewalks. My neighbors sidewalk and my neighbors neighbors sidewalk which both have three car garages so the sidewalk is longer in 30 min with 25% battery to spare. I used a 5 and 7.5 ah battery with both leaving me at 25%. I had to push moderately when I went up hill. I don’t really touch the chute because I go in a clockwise or counter clockwise motion depending on the wind if there is any. I never turn my off when I’m using it I just raise it up on my turns. I would suggest having two 7.5 batteries. This way in one charge I could have done my elderly Neighboor driveway as well instead of doing it an hour later. Only reason why I would go double stage is because it assists so less push and my 6 year old could do it.

Full bite leaves snowtrails which I hate. I always try to leave a nice clean driveway.

I have the same one. It rips. I cant wait until it snows hard here in chicago. Were having a slight storm right now.

If u had the power shovel, that would of been perfect for a little bit of snow like this.
That thing will throw the snow further than this.
Its hilarious they put 35/40/45 feet on the chutes. There is no way.
They must have been measuring it during a storm when the wind was still ripping.

Nice machine for light snow, I'll keep my 2-Stage Ariens for heavy snow.

Is it easy to maneuver? To push along? Does the motion of the auger help? It doesn't look like a lot of effort.

My main concern with this model is how do you protect the augers. All I see is a plastic scraper bar keeping the augers from hitting the surface, and based on my experience with plastic scraper bars on my Toro's I assume this will be ground away at a fairly rapid rate. I'd much rather see the external adjustable stops used on two stage units, easy to monitor wear and adjust.
