Stop-Motion seems so natural for this kind of story, and for once, the darkness is somewhat supported by the original. I'm excited to see where they'll take it :)

Interesting fact : Guillermo Del Toro has been working on this movie since 2008. It has been his passion project to make a stop motion animated Pinocchio movie. The film needed a budget increase of $35 million more dollars or it would be cancelled and it did because no studios were willing to finance it. It wasn't until 2018, the project was revived with Netflix being the only studio that financed this movie. In Del Toro I trust, I hope this movie delivers the best of this classic story

Lots of well deserved praise for Del Toro here, but don't forget that this film is co directed by Mark Gustafson. Whom was also the animation director on Wes Anderson's "Fantastic Mr Fox" and a really nice guy who is one of the most talented animation directors working today. I cant wait to see this!!!

As someone who studies Animation and had to make an Stop Motion project all last year, I have to say it's incredibly tiring and takes a lot of time, but the results are truly amazing, and every time I see Stop Motion projects I think about the entire process that the animators had to go through, that's why I find their patience, effort, and love for what they do, fascinating. I can wait to see this!!!
