Thanks for the black iron threaded tip. I use black and galvanized often at work and didn't know that one (i'm a ship's engineer, not a plumber).

For measurements with black iron I always found measuring Center to Center on a 90 minus fitting allowance works great and is easy to remember (hint 1/2" pipe=1/2" fitting allowance per 90. 3/4" pipe=3/4" and so on till 1 1/2" pipe)

Someone had pour some acetone around the union of a glued fitting and pipe, waited a minute or so and used a wrench to take out the tube off the fitting. The acetone broke the bonds of the pvc cement and work, but it had not been tested with the primer prior the cement, can you check that in your next video.
