Ghost Story - Seeds of Destruction (Full Demo - Cassette Rip)

Ghost Story was a thrash band based out of Atlanta, GA. They released a few demos, but no full-lengths. Really cool stuff that definitely should have gotten more attention in its day. I purchased their 1989 and 1990 demos brand new and sealed from a band member and ripped them for your enjoyment. This is the first of the two, "Seeds of Destruction."

The tape was ripped with a late-80s Pioneer cassette deck with no EQ, NR, or other additional processing. The tape itself was in mint condition.

This demo sounds as incredible as the first time I listened to it. It has all: amazing musicianship, great voice, urgency. It is really one of the gems that should be re-released in cd with liner notes and all for the masses!

I’m 46 and remember finding this cassette at Camelot Music (Cumberland Mall) back around 1990. I literally wore this out from listening to it so much 30 + years ago. Still love this demo!

As someone who is massively into thrash and have spent so much time over the years delving into the most obscure of bands the genre has to offer, it's crazy that I've never heard this before. It's pretty awesome though.

As it turns out, this recording (and the other demo too) is running a bit too fast. A master-sourced version of The Enemy Within appeared on a CD compilation and it was about 2% slower there. You live and you learn, I guess! :V
