This is a GREAT car. I just tested the 2018 530e including an electric-only range test. I was able to beat the EPA rating of 15 miles but wish it was more on par with the Volt. Although I would never pick a Volt over a 5-series.

Got mine 530e 2019, you have to charge this shit every day or often to get 35-40 mpgs and if you don't do it you get 22-25 which sux.

How much of that 51 miles was under electric only power? You really HAVE to cover more ground than that to get get a real life MPG number. If you take that 15 miles off the total miles driven you only got 45.5 MPG in hybrid mode. That's a HUGE difference from the 67 MPG you claim. Drive it enough to go through a few tanks of fuel, and get a real idea of MPGs to expect as an owner. What will it get driving cross country?

15 miles, that is garbage. By the time you drive the rest of the miles you will actually use more fuel because of all the added weight. You guys should do a test and use a full tank of full and a full charge and see how long it will go and average the mpg I bet it gets worse than the one without the electric motor

Dang why is the acceleration so bad with such a powerful electric motor to assist? They gonna have to do a lot better than 5.8 0-60mph if they are going to compete with tesla
