The bluetooth scanners are so good. Had a customer where the check engine light would only come on when they drove up hill so had to scan while they drove. No cable meant nothing in the way while they drove. Plus it comes in handy when doing Bidirectional stuff. You can move around the vehicle while performing them.

I’ve been using a Kingbolen K7 for some time now, excellent tool. Can even do coding on a 2020 Audi Q5 (which is notorious difficult and needs expensive HEX-V2 cables). Diag on a Ducati 2013 2.3 Diesel, really happy with it.

Been looking at a diag tool do have vcds etc but does this bypass the sfd on the newer vag ?

I don’t think there is one that close to the Euro tab III as that costs around £5995, Euro tab II ? Probably your best bet, around £2400ish .
