Excellent review. I just ordered one. Great price $524 US. I have to swap out a BCM module in a 2007 Mazda 6, I hope i can copy the info from the existing module and write it to the new one.

I just purchased the X.431 Pro V5 with the bluetooth adapter and variety of plug adapters. I had to do a full brake system replacement on a 3rd Gen Prius that I own (abs actuator/w master cylinder assy. & accumulator/pump assy.) You’re only able to get so far manually bleeding the brakes, the brakes won’t function fully and the regen system will not work until you’ve bled the full system through the activation of different solenoids on different brake system circuits, cycling the accumulator at specific times, and recalibrating certain features related to those circuits … long story short I HATE paying the stealership or anyone else to do any kind of work on my vehicles and this tool allowed me to access the special functions you have to have to complete this process. For me the tool has already paid for most of its initial cost in my situation. It did take some playing around, I did run into a couple issues where I ‘rebled’ a couple items and rebooted the ECU and cleared some data and got it to finally finish the process (linear valve offset calibration) and its good as new now. I had a big ole’ smile on my face knowing I have a tool that will help me trouble shoot and even perform some special functions to keep my cars running myself 😃👍 first time using one of these tools was a success!

Regarding the topology map, It has been 6 months since this analysis, however I was able to observe that the vast majority of manufacturers (autel, topdon, launch, xtool) now include the topological map, therefore there must be some real use.

Most valuable bit of info I got here was with regard to the updates and fees, that was the most off putting part of the purchase.

A video dedicated to what is contained in the update would be great, for example does the update just give you software for the newest cars, or are there necessary updates for the software of the device (bug fixing etc)

Another question, regarding updates for individual car manufacturers- I believe I may have seen an option on another video, that you can choose updates for specific functions only or specific manufacturers only.

Hi, I just receive my Lounch pr05.0. I made Registration, all what is in the manual. First, he can not retive vin number from the car. And if you put it manualy all scan devices is " NOT INSTALED". I Try it on Bmw 4, 5, 6 series . Any sugesstions . Thank's in advace.

Will this program a 2013 Subaru WrX STI ECM, from what I can tell almost all units like this one work only on German/Ford cars which doesn't help me. Subaru's are at best only briefly mentioned by almost all manufacturers. I need to clone my old ECM including VIN which is going bad. I already have good OBD2 readers and can program some ECM functions with my Cobb tuner but not features like VIN number.
