All of these explained:
Great Filter - major catastrophic events will cause extinction, usually attributed to technology becoming too dangerous for civilization to handle (Ex: Nuclear warfare, global warming, etc)
Zoo Hypothesis - We're being watched by aliens as if we we're in a show (Sort of like the Truman show, have no idea why this isn't more uncanny though)
Life is common, but we're the only intelligent ones - self explanatory, but that's not really as scary to me since that means we can't be threatened by other aliens
Great Filter (if we haven't passed it) - explained this earlier
The Rare Earth Theory - Life only exists on Earth because the conditions to have life are extremely rare to come upon
Too far away for contact - also self explanatory. The universe expands infinitely, meaning at some point it'd be impossible to reach different superclusters
We'll be extinct by the time we meet new civilizations - Considering how the universe is only 13 billion years old, it's likely we might be some of the first life to develop
Dark Forest Theory - Alien civilizations intentionally keep out of each other's businesses because they know that all other civilizations might be hostile.
Simulation Theory - self explanatory, I have nothing to say about this
Everyone killed each other already - The plot of "The Heavy is Dead", except we're Heavy
Everyone wants to live in their own simulated realities - self explanatory too
AI killed them all - basically just "Everyone killed each other already" except with AI
They live with us - Jeff Bezos has been acting weird, hasn't he?
We don't receive their signals - Pretty plausible too, it's like trying to text a Samsung user by using a telegraph
Alien consciousness isn't confined to physical forms - Aliens have transcended the need for having a physical body and exist as "souls" in a sort of way
Aliens exist in higher dimensions we can't comprehend - Similar to the last one, except this also means aliens could be gods or heavenly beings
We were too late to the party - self explanatory, but I highly doubt this because the universe hasn't really been around for that long
The galaxy is ruled by a dictator who will remove any intelligent life when detected - Basically, we better keep our heads low or else that dictator might see us. Remember what happened to the Native Americans?
