103. Jesus Curses a Fig Tree - Mark 11:12-14

Показать описание
To some people, what Jesus did in cursing the fig tree might seem petty and unreasonable. But Jesus did nothing out of spite or malice. Everything he did, he did for a purpose.

Jesus was acting out what would happen to Jerusalem, for having the appearance of righteousness, but not its fruits: for rejecting him. Without Jesus, there can be no fruit.

Fig trees exist to bear figs. We – you and I – exist to bear fruit. The fig tree was all show and no substance. It was covered in beautiful green leaves, but there were no figs there. You can fool others, but you can’t fool Jesus.

Jesus is coming to look for fruit in your life. It’s the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy peace and patience. Will he find it? Or will he just find green leaves?

When I first read this passage in Mark, I actually laughed out loud because it was the first time that Jesus behaved more human than God; taking his hangry frustration out on a fig tree that wouldn’t give him breakfast that morning. LOL.

This was done to fulfill the sign spoken through Jeremiah: "There will be no figs on the tree,
and their leaves will wither. What I have given them will be taken from them.""

Jeremiah 8:13 ‘
“I will take away their harvest,
declares the Lord.
There will be no grapes on the vine.
There will be no figs on the tree,
and their leaves will wither.
What I have given them
will be taken from them.”

Almost everything written about Jesus in the gospels was to prove that he was the Messiah by fulfilling the signs and prophecies spoken long before by the prophets and in the psalms. This is the key to understanding the gospels. People are familiar with when Jesus turned water into wine. But the reason it was in the gospels is because it fulfilled the sign spoken through Jeremiah; Say to the people, "Every jar will be filled with wine." To those familiar with the prophets it all comes together. But to those not familiar with the Hebrew scriptures it is just a collection of unconnected stories and metaphors without their roots.

1. Why did God get hungry?
2. Why didn’t Jesus know this tree did not bear fruit?
3. How exactly did we figure that this was a Parable for the fall of Jerusalem? Trying to genuinely ask…

I wonder if it is the same tree in the middle of the garden at adam and eve time before jesus times and jesus was showing physically how God spirit walked and asked why are they naked.

Took a long time to realize the meaning of this seemingly silly parable. God abhors deception and hoarding, basically.

That is not a description of a Holy person or a so called Deity in which governs the practicing of which is to lead y'all to salvation in a unmanaged characteristic of hatred toward a tree that was "NOT in SEASON" to bear fruit...
As He should know man is not aways to be concious enough to be successful in the applications in the systems of WISDOM... So why would one with such wisdom use the fig'tree as an example of where he knows men will disrespect the reality of the conditions of what Jesus son of Mary had delivered to the people and knowing they would not understand it?...

He also planted a Fig Tree and, for three years looked for fruit on it. Finding none, he was prepared to cut it down and remove it from the soil but, was convinced by the gardener to allow him to cultivate and fertilize it. At his coming, what will he find on the Fig Tree now that it has been cultivated and fertilized? When the Fig Tree's branch grows tender and sprout leaves you know that summer is near.

In the same way, when you see all these things, know that he is near, at the gates. (Mat 24:33 NABO)

The way of the Lord in the desert needs to be put into context with the previous passage:
(Joshua) The First Beast - Day of the Lord - Sacrifice - Indeed, she has received from the hand of the LORD double for all her sins.
(Moses) The Second Beast - Way of the Lord - Resurrection - Make straight in the wasteland a highway for our God! (Isa 40:2-3 NABO)
Just as it is appointed that human beings die - be judged - appear a second time, (so also Christ) Heb 9:27-28.

the one who is and who was and who is to come, the almighty (Rev 1:8 NABO)
The beast that you saw existed once but now exists no longer. It will come up from the abyss and is headed for destruction. (Rev 17:8 NABO)

We saw his star (of Bethlehem) at its rising and have come to do him homage. (Mat 2:2 NABO)
The star was called "Wormwood” (Rev 8:11 NABO)
It was given the key for the passage to the abyss. (Rev 9:1 NABO)
I hold the keys to death and the netherworld. (Rev 1:18 NABO)
the bars of the nether world (Abyss) were closing behind me forever (Jon 2:7 NABO)
Who will go down into the abyss?' (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead) (Rom 10:7 NABO)

I'm an avid practitioner of black magic.

Do not tell me that "without jesus, xyz cannot bear fruit."

I have accomplished more without that devil in my way than was ever going to accomplish by following the liar.

Liar being jesus

Its always surprising what stories are told the cure a problem or inconsistency in the bible! It says: ' it wasn't the time for figs' - thats natures law! The law god had given! How could Jesus then expect any figs? This is more an ambarrassing excuse for Jesus behavior rather than a real explanation. In fact in a parallel vers of the bible the writer tries another explanation, making things not much better i guess.
