Grid Instrument - Launchpad Tethering to iPad

This video shows how to tether your Novation Launchpad to iOS Grid Instrument app.

GridInstrument is an app that turns your iPhone or iPad into a playable grid (much like the Ableton Push or scale-mode on a Launchpad Pro).

It has a simple sound generator built in, but where it really shines is in its ability to output MIDI data. It has Audiobus 3 support so that you can send MIDI to other apps. It also has MIDI out support so that you can send button presses to outboard hardware or even to a Network MIDI connection.

But the coolest feature of the app by far is that you can hook up your Ableton Launchpad controller directly to it (using the Apple Camera Connection Kit) and it will let you play your Launchpad like a musical instrument.

0.59 beautiful grid lights come on .... unfortunately they stay on and there is no connection with any other apps. using iPad Pro with launchpad pro. tried everything doesn’t work Still grid lights do come on

I have a LaunchPad Pro. Is there any benefit to using GridInstrument since the Pro already has Scale Mode on it? Do the chosen scales in GridInstrument take precedence over other synth app scales and the scale in LaunchPad Pro? Thanks!
