You can also check the copyright dates - copyrights expire after 75 years. This means classic Winnie the Pooh images (the original images, NOT DISNEY IMAGES. Easy way to tell: Disney Pooh has a red vest, the original doesn't. And yes I'm a major Pooh collector 😂) is out of copyright. Also, a federal court ruled several years ago the Mickey Mouse ears silhouette is not copyrighted.
