Truly Saved? -John Piper

We are saved through faith and repentance; neither through works nor empty hearted words like, "I'm a believer." Our faith in Jesus is evidenced (shown) by our daily repentance from our selfishness and other sins (Luke 9:23 NIV). Our repentance to first seek God's kingdom and His righteousness (Matthew 6:33 NIV) instead of seeking our own desires is our proven fruit that we are truly saved by Jesus Christ.

Then Jesus Prays for Us — His Sheep
