Would it be appropriate to conclude scat is somewhat of a predecessor to beatboxing. Both methods to use your voice to add melodies, rhythms and instrumental impressions. Both with distinct personalities based on the contemporary music of their origin. And both probably based on even older methods. Ultimately bringing a wonderful diversity to musical expression.

I love your explanation videos. One thing I've always been interested in is how some horror-sounding songs are made. I know a lot utilize older styles of music, with instruments like the French accordion or electric pianos to make uncanny sounding pieces.
