Funny, every time I get pulled over in Florida and hand the cop my license and ccw permit, they not only appreciate it but reward me with a warning. Their job is already dangerous enough, making them feel slightly more comfortable cannot hurt.

FYI when pulled over and you have a Conceaed Weapons Permit, it shows up when they look up your name. Then when they come up and ask if you have a weapon in the car, you have to tell them.

I understand your point in the "laws" but you also don't have to roll your window down or do several other things in the rule of law, but that won't help you leave any faster or make the already alert cop any happier.

Yo yo yo this is the best reverse psychology I have ever seen. So clearly the law states you dont have to show . But if you dont and they find it your gonna be in trouble, but if you tell your in the clear . BUT IF YOU DONT you get the consequence and HE GETS YOU AS A CLIENT. And you go home.

"Hey I got a gun in the car" - No don't make that a thing. That is too ominous and you don't know what reaction you'll get.

"Hey I have my duty weapon/concealed carry/personal firearm." - This way you're not yanked out your whip.

So I’m an Ohio CHL holder, here in Ohio I am legally required to notify the officer promptly that I am licensed to carry and whether or not I am carrying. Now Florida honors Ohio CHL so when I go down there for vacation in august every year, I of course carry. If I am pulled over in florida while conceal carrying with an Ohio CHL do I have to notify the officer?

In Texas we’re required to present our CHL anytime we’re stopped. Idk how that’s gonna change September 1st when we no longer need a permit to carry.

I don’t tell them that I have it in the truck because there is no need it just makes them nervous and more likely to shoot me but if they’re going to search my truck I will tell them it’s in there

I live in the 239 and I'm super confused, you say don't tell the officer theres a gun in the car, so tell the officer a lie, then tell the officer there IS a gun in the car when the officer tells me to get out of the car and I have no more hope of hiding the gun...your advice is gonna get someone killed.

First you should say you have a firearm and the location of where it is located in the car. That's ohio might have changed but no matter where you're from say firearm instead of gun.

I was taught to give the officer your driver's license and your CCW when you are stopped. That way he can ask if you have a firearm if he wants to. Also, in some states, the fact that you have a CCW is displayed when they run your plates or your license. Don't surprise the police officer; They don't handle surprises like that very well.

I have question regarding Florida Statutes (open carry going to and from fishing, hunting and camping). I'm on my boat, open carrying, I'm going off shore fishing. I pass the 3 mile state boundary, should I conceal? In my area (St Augustine) US Custom's boat do patrol beyond the 3 mile state waters.

So CCW holders and not required to always present their CCW license along with their drivers license in FL? Are officers able to identify a license holder anyway by running their information in their patrol car/system?

In Texas you are required to show your CCW if you have one and are carrying.
