Bonus Tip: If you build your chords in 3 colours in the same piano roll, (ie. red root, blue third, green seventh) you can control the slide of each note individually without affecting the others, so you can have them slide at different lengths as well.

I've learned that little trick a long time ago on my own. I've been using it ever since, especially in Pads or Lead sounds.

My favorite is to make the slide very very short and make it into a pluck with a sustained root note for the entire pattern. Makes that weird funky sliding between each note while keeping your root note bright and dominating.
