Traveling has really changed so much. I'm old enough to remember my GGGrandfather telling me stories about the time he travelled from Missouri all the way down to Texas.
He didn't fly on Delta airlines. He packed his saddlebags with provisions and rode his horse all the way out there and back !
If GGGramps was alive now, I wonder how he'd feel about riding a cramped airplane in coach ? He used to be so at home alone in the wide-open spaces of the outdoors.

For Delta Airlines, read Rules 19 and 22 of their Contract of Carriage (US). Regardless of if you bought a refundable or non-refundable ticket, if Delta cancels the flight and they can't get you on another same flight within 120 minutes, you can request a full refund in the original form of payment (i.e. back on your credit card, for example, and not giving you a credit voucher.)

Just to give you a heads up that is subject for approval but most passengers who has documentation or proof will get refunds plus if you had companion on that said ticket, because other people is also affected because of cancelled or delayed flights 👍
You need to call customer service so they can help you to fill-up the form for feedback to get refunds if you spent money out of your pocket. You just need the receipts from a hotel or if you purchased because you didn't get food voucher at the airport 👍
