Some people are hypocrites, they think their meat comes from thin air; they don't want to see blood and butchering, but they eat animals without any problem. I enjoyed that video a lot, I liked the process and I learnt a lot! You are meticulous, and explained every step wonderfully. I am sorry some people got offended by something as normal and natural as the butchering of a sheep. Anyway, lots of love from Romania and I am excited whenever I get the notification of a new video. Take care of yourselves!

Hi folks. I watched this last night and then looked at the comments on the previous video, to which you refer. I'm fully supportive of the life you have chosen to lead and thoroughly enjoy what you choose to share with us. You are absolutely authentic and giving us insight into your approach to meat is part of that. I respect those who have opted for meat free diets and I understand those who might have found the contents of the video not to their taste. In which case, the simple option was to move on rather than post their discontent. Anyone who actually unsubscribed has clearly utterly failed to understand what you are all about during the time they have followed you. If meat IS to be apart of one's diet - and it is for me - then understanding where it comes from and how it is produced is a responsibility. Your animals are well cared for and treated with respect in life and death and you only deserve credit for the way you have handled that on your stream. Don't feel depressed by the armchair critics.

Learning how to process food for ourselves to consume and nourish our bodies is definitely appropriate.

I love how you include Ivar in all things. He is being raised correctly.

I don’t watch butchery videos and appreciate the heads up. There is value in showing those who want to learn how to butcher correctly.

I love all your videos. Watching your wife give birth was amazing, so natural, she allowed her body to do what its meant to do....the two of you amaze me. We hunt, fish and eat and use all of the animal, we honor it, and we who live in reality know that it's the most nutrient dense food. People are sick today and obese because they eat junk and hardly any meat. The world needs to wake up.

It is very disappointing about the demonetized video. The thumbnail was very clear so I skipped that one. You do have at least one very loyal subscriber who is a Nan who loves grandchildren. I have immensely enjoyed watching Ivar come into this world and learn all about it as he grows. And such a little imp like my own grandson! Keep living your best life.

I live on a tropical island in Indonesia and will never have to butcher a sheep, but I still found it very interesting. I also loved the birth video of Ivar. If people don't want to see those realities of life and death and butchering to provide food well don't watch it. Keep guys doing what you are doing. I love your channel and Merry Christmas to the 3 of you xx

I support your videos completely, life and death are with us always. Yes, steer is the correct term. Great work, God bless you all.

The community you’ve attracted is a reflection of who you are as people. Your videos have brought me so much peace and joy over the past 5+ years, and I’m grateful to share these glimpses into your lives. Good Yule and a good New Year!

When I was little and learning to ice skate my parents brought a chair for me to hold on to. That is how I first started by holding on the the back of a chair and pushed it around the ice…😊

Please don’t let peoples negativity influence you. You’ve done a beautiful job showing a simple life style that takes a ton of labor and sacrifice. It’s important for us to learn and see how butchering is done, we are so far departed from our food source. I hope you are feeling better and I thoroughly enjoy your videos. Blessings ❤

what every parent should do it is teaching their children how to live the best life they can in the environment surrounding them. Having your son learning the skill required to live there and also having fun when possible with what you have available around you is great.

You both clearly explained what to expect in the previous video. As a deer hunter I was interested in how butchering would be different. You both are awesome!

I am a senior from E. TN, Appalachian Mtns, U.S. We would refer to the snow tool as a snow sled. It is a little smaller than the sleds used here for moving things like hay, rocks and lumber, usually in wet boggy places where wheels would mar up into the mud. Lumbering by horses and mules is part of our culture. Sleds are also used in pulling horse competition. They are loaded with weights, attached to the horses, and on signal they begin pulling the sleds. The one who endures the farthest wins. Canning is also a large part of our culture. The "Ball Canning" books are the best, tried and true. I'm not sure if they print in anything but English, but they're very straight forward and easy read. Thanks again for sharing your beautiful lives. Peace and love to your family this "Yule" season. ✌ 💚❤️

So nice watching you teach Ivar how to skate, but especially nice watching you enjoy yourself on the ice.

Watching Ivar work with his father and help with the snow and helping his mother with the chores about brought me to tears. He is such a little man! I loved the ice skating and sledding, too. You are such a wonderful, loving family. Peaceful, thoughtful, hard working... I just love your videos!❤ Praying you all become healthy soon.

I think of you and little Ivor so often...especially when we have very cold temperatures here in our state of Pennsylvania....I say to my husband..."It is NOT cold...just think of Mathias and Tova and little Ivor way up north in Sweden!' that's cold! I look forward to your wonderful videos and daily lives and how you learn every day how to 'live off the grid' and find your way to independence. Your are both so amazing and resilient.
