iFLY 737 MAX vs Real World Wing View Comparison [MSFS]

Here are some very subtle things that caught my attention that were messing up the immersion.

Very non dynamic wingflex.
No wing flex across different section of the wing
No sharklet flex or shake
No flap shake in reaction to rapid deacceleration or turbulence
No engine shake in reaction to spooling up or turbulence

The iFLY 737 MAX is a beautiful aircraft for MSFS. It's 10X better than the PMDG in terms of texturing, modeling, cabin, cockpit and more.

Yes it's a 737, but the details are significantly improved. Even though this is still just a pre-release version.

After watching some real world footage, I feel iFLY 737 MAX's VR experience is NOT as immersive. Things feel kind static.

Totally agree, glad someone has made this. The aircraft in MSFS feel so rigid. FBW has done an amazing job with this, by making their own custom wingflex model, and Fenix are also working on this atm!

For anyone wondering, this is also a feature more clearly in the FBWA380X

Man I’m really glad you did this video. I’ve been commenting on this for a very long time and non of the developers took note. I hope they all see this. 👏🏾 👏🏾

Considering how many airliners were made between many sims, having wobbling engines and flaps is relatively rare. FBW on only the A380 engines; Fenix on only the flaps, PMDG on only the 777 engines, and the only other one I can think of is flaps on the Zibo 737 for Xplane. That's not a lot. Just to make a wobble is a lot of dev time, and I don't think it's common enough yet that we should feel entitled to get that for the occasional engine view.

We’re spoiled nowadays that we care about this kind of stuff… FS2004 was all static and we freaking loved it…

Engine wobble is the coolest thing to watch besides wing flex, no plane in msfs does this right

Hopefully PMDG does a better job and add the engine shake this time.

I feel like the engine model is a bit off should be titled more upwards but I got clowned for pointing that out in the discord recently so maybe im tripping

I have been saying the same with pmdg in p3d, the wings shaking and the engine is static 🤷🏾‍♂️

The flaps on the Fenix shake when extended

Experienced moderate turbulence on 738, i though engines gonna fall from the aircraft. I don't saw anything like that on A320, although those flights were bumpy too

The product is in early access. If you provide the feedback directly to the developer instead of making it look like you’re shaming the product, perhaps you can help influence the development.

Your observations are great, the delivery feels very finger pointy to me.

Are we just going to skip over the improper speed brake deployment animation?

this is the reason i favor x-plane over msfs. in x-plane plane maker you have parameters for wing flex per g, damping constants, wing weight and if i remember correctly, with the last update wing fuel tanks also bends the wings a bit. if you put reasonable numbers in plane maker, you will get incredible wing animations. i dont care what people say. i dont care about the ground textures etc. i want my plane's flight path and gear/wing flex and dampings to be calculated not animated. for this very reason, msfs is a no go

The animations arent working correctly in the replay

The shakings and flaps on the free 737max8 in msfs are way more realistic. Please that plane to the 737max irl.

Even the elevators are static. The plane feels arcadic.... it'll get better they have our full support. But people glazed this plane way too hard

No surprise. A sim will never be to everything like the real thing. MSFS doesn’t have the best physics.

One of the main reasons I use XP12. Even my flight school uses XPLANE.

it would be cool but its so small that i dont think its a big issue

The videos of the real world seen here, can't be taken as a reference. Digital cameras have huge problems with shaking and you have motion artifacts on screen that don't happen in real life has these tend to show vibrations with higher G figures than reality. I have watched an awfull lot of landings from the window and I have never seen flaps shake up and down as portrayed in this video, well, only if I watch the videos I made, but with my naked eye, you don't see that behavior.
