Roger didn't need prompting, he knew (they would all know) if Freddie's voice was hurting - but only Roger could carry the song along. That is pure teamwork. Love it.

Roger taylor is awesome he always helped freddie out when singing, Roger would take the higher note while freddie went down lower to save his voice when on tour

He just wanted to perform for his audience. Freddie was a trooper, yet his band members were there to back him up, , , thus the magic of Queen.

Freddie Mercury performed even though he was sick and nowadays singers cancel their show for stupid reasons.

Yup. Rog always had Freddie’s back.

There is also a clip when Roger totally zoned out on the lyrics of I’m in love with my car & Freddie comes in to save it.

That made the class of this band. Everyone had the musicality to make up for a band member's flaw/weakness without the audience noticing. That's what the sound technology does today, only insufficiently. See the appearance of QUAL at the Queen's jubilee, nobody was able to correct Brian May's mistakes. While on Live Aid (Crazy Little Thing...), I bet no one noticed Brian May's little flaw. The band did and overplayed him confidently.

Not only had he a cold, this was also at the end of a very demanding monster tour, where they did too many concerts every night in a row without a break. At that time his voice was completely exhausted, but Freddie didn't want to let down the audience.

Very good on Roger, he and Freddie were the very best of friends Roger stuck up for him all the time really nice to hear unlike some people on here mentioning QAL, this has nothing to do with them, Brian and Roger may be in their seventies but are playing like they are in their forties, they put younger musicians to shame. If it wasn't for Adam, Brian and Roger would have called it a day instead Queen's music is now brought to old and new fans to enjoy.

Freddy Mercury è stato uno dei talenti più importanti della terra.
Grande performer e soprattutto un gran perfezionista della musica.
Peccato sia finita
Ciao Freddy

That’s when his vocal nodules were at its worst and he struggled to sing

Not this again... Sure, it sounds like a nice enough story but Roger ALWAYS sang this part (during all choruses in fact), on every single live version, no matter how good (or bad) Freddie sounded

I think this exact performance is on the Live Killers album... and exactly like this.
