Support from a former legal gun owner in the UK. I gave up shooting, partly due to moving to a new area and partly due to poor health (stroke) I had decades of experience with rifle shooting and never knew anyone who would dream of misusing a gun. The community regulates itself, bad apples are soon recognised and excluded. Mark, your calm, measured manner is exactly what the community needs globally. You are absolutely right and Queenslanders have had a small reprieve from some of the draconian changes the socialists wanted to implement. Fortunately we have several supportive politicians and a number of high profile people supporting out cause. More importantly we're on the eve of an election so we have a chance to strike back before it's too late. Unfortunately the SSAA are missing in action.
We all pay fees and we all support the association and I'm disappointed and disheartened by their lack of public profile and support at any level.

It costs about $2500 for a 20 second ad in prime time last time I checked. Collect the dollars and put one ad every two weeks on TV.

I'm a licensed shooter. I'll throw $100 in. Lets go. I'm a member of the ssaa, they need to get involved too, I will email them tonight.

As a figure head in the shooting community that is highly respected and appreciated. You could put together a ‘GoFundMe’ for some ads. You might even receive funding from international viewers. Then pay for a production team to do it properly. I like your idea about convincing folks their neighbour is a friendly shooter. In Queensland the health sector have ads that I feel are quite impactful to help remind the public that workers are people too. A poster of a friendly face saying: I’m a musician, I’m a father, I’m a nurse. Could do something similar: I’m a barista, I’m a father, I’m a shooter ect.
Just some thoughts. Love your stuff, great videos.

I've seen 4WD Super Centre putting out interest from clubs to have sausage sizzles at their stores in WA.
We can try and get the message out and raise funds for advertising.
