When I was 12 and most all of us ladies began to menstruate, we guarded our purses as if they had gold in them. If one of the boys were to get one of them and find a tampon or pad, it was beyond humiliating. They’d pass them to the other boys, laughing and making jokes. Now, they are in their bathrooms.
