For people wondering on how people don't have any spare crates left and people having 2, well in the battle pass [1. Idk, 2. Frost crate, 3. Emote, 4. a basic crate?, 5. Frost crate, 6. Emote, 7. Premium crate, 8. Frost crate, 9. Deluxe crate, 10. Frost crate, 11. Emote which i didnt get]
If i remember in the first week or two the battle pass only awarded 4 frost crates (lvl 2, 5, 8, 10. One each) but the developer thinks about the future skins like frost mortar so frost crates which are on lvl 8 and 10 awarded 2 frost crates each so the battlepass gives 6 frost crates now. So people who beat the event early doesnt have any leftovers while people who beat it after the rewards got updated have 1 or 2 leftover. And frost mortar is legendary cuz they will make it a mission skin for the people who doesnt have any frost crates left.
