From the sounds of this Saidin and Saidar was visible to both men & women when they worked together in the 2nd Age during the AOL. Only after the taint were weaves no longer visible to each other. Or did women teach themselves to no longer see for fear they would feel the urge to work with the male?

I would probably like this series if it wasn't for the gender aspects of the story. Having a story where only women are able to do magic safely doesn't sound like an enjoyable watch/read for a man. I can only imagine how negative the reaction would be if a series came out where only men were able to do magic.
