IB Biology Topic 6.1: Digestion & Absorption

This video introduces the organs of the alimentary canal and the types of digestive enzymes. It then builds on this by following the passage of food through the alimentary canal, including the functions of all involved organs. Afterwards, the different methods of nutrient absorption are covered, with special focus on the absorption of triglycerides and glucose. The video concludes on an experiment simulating intestinal absorption using dialysis tubing.
