Nolan Arenado on Albert Pujols' pinch-hit homer: "I'm not surprised by it at all. Just his work ethic and his swing is so good. ... He's still Albert, man. I know he's a little older, but he's the best hitter ever."

Alber Pujols career home run No. 695 on Sunday, brings him to within five of joining the 700 home run club that currently includes only Barry Bonds, Hank Aaron, and Babe Ruth. He is also just one home run behind Alex Rodriguez (696) for fourth on the all-time list. Pujols only played 39 games in 2020 due to being the COVID SEASON. He only had 152 at bats. (6 Hrs). In 2021 with the Angels and Dodgers combined, he only had 275 at bats and hit 17 homeruns.

IN MY OPINION
Pujols should do another year as Designated Hitter!
If he doesn't do another year, as Designated Hitter, he will live forever at home bored, with restlessness or curiosity asking himself:
Why didn't I play another year?
The same thing is happening to Álex Rodríguez!

Best hitter ever. Look at his batting average. Maybe the 300th best hitter unless only home runs count anymore.
