i dont care how old he is, especially if he is not 42, and he is 44 or 45, it is so crazy that he can still hit dingers

Cardinals Manager: "I got his papers right here

Birth certificate: "I am 12"
*Slides umpire $10*

Umpire: "He's got documentation!"

Lying about age is quite common in the Caribbean 😝

Makes the fact that he’s beating a rods record even more astonishing. That’s really ridiculous if he’s 50 hitting dingers on people who’s he’s twice the age of.

You can (possibly) discredit how he got to the show. There’s not a person alive who will doubt what he did once he got there

It's common for baseball players from other country's to lie about there age. He's not the only one

Maybe he just did the math wrong in that one interview

The reason is, because his age was lied about when he was supposed to be 12 or 13, and he was older.

The younger a player is, the more money that they can get. All teams want a 16 yr old with potential, not an 18 yr old.

It's hard enough as it is for Latin American players to get prospect contracts, if they have to lie about their age to increase those odds good for them. That's the way the game works with Latin American players, its caveat emptor. Teams sometimes are duped when they sign them as a prospect. But they damn sure know the real age before they sign them to long-term mlb contracts. And the reason teams don't out players is they are worried free agent Latin American mlb players will refuse to sign with that team.

I went to high school with major junior hockey players in Canada. Those guys at 16 looked 25 or more quite often. Maybe people that have major league sports talent just look older. They develop faster. Could be why Albert looked old in high school

Age is just a situation of mind over matter.... If you don't mind then it shouldn't matter.

Who cares dude is one of the best hitters of all time and if he’s in his mid 40s pitchers are getting destroyed by a old man

Hence why he's called the big red MACHINE

It doesn’t really matter, he probably just guessed how many years it was

So I actually went to his neighboring high school in Independence. I’m much younger than him but everyone I know that went to school with him said he looked like a man amongst kids especially on the ball field

I don’t know. But I admit it would explain his abysmal lack of speed. 42 year olds are gonna be slow but I don’t think even the likes of Ernie Lombardi would lose to Albert Pujols in a foot race. Dude’s gotta be 45+
