About The Planetary Society:
The Planetary Society has inspired millions of people to explore other worlds and seek other life. With the mission to empower the world's citizens to advance space science and exploration, its international membership makes the non-governmental Planetary Society the largest space interest group in the world. Carl Sagan, Bruce Murray, and Louis Friedman founded the Planetary Society in 1980. Bill Nye, a longtime member of The Planetary Society's Board, serves as CEO."

The numerous technological spinoffs are what sells it to me. For example I think it is safe to say that the knowledge gained by building the Apollo Guidance Computer lead to the advancements used in the home computers in the 80s.

We are not alone in this wonderful universe and as we travel through the cosmos we may find that our universe is more mysterious than what we think. Excellent work Bill 👍👍👍👍

We all came from the middle, and, for what it is worth, we may as well be alone

Mostly because exploring is fun. People wanna walk around on other planets. To see what it's like.

I am 100% certain we are the ONLY Human Species... but we are far from the only living beings... but it will be rare

Out of the 2 million + different specials of living creatures on planet earth, human beings have only been able to “communicate” with a few dozen of them. Dogs, cats, dolphins, elephants etc. Generally, the process involves giving them food to gain their trust and their attention. Even then, we only understand a tiny fraction of their behaviour, or their mindset. Whatever life we find beyond our planet will likely be impossible to communicate with; and if it is, understanding will be very limited.

Space Exploration is fascinating, but after all the billions invested in the exploration that has been done - with nothing but rocks and a complete absence of life on all the planets that we've sent various instruments to - I believe it's completely irresponsible when all those billions could be spent on improving the quality of life for the beings that we know exist and talk to and interact with every day.
Or heck, at the very least we could explore our vastly unexplored oceans. At least we know that we'll find thousands of new species and who knows what scientific discoveries.
The space race was amazing, but to my knowledge we haven't only found a complete absence of life but we haven't even found exciting things like new minerals or elements.

The most uninspiring man I know.
"How did we get here?"
We didn't get here, we started here. He even butchered Carl Sagan's "Pair Blue Dot". He sounded like a drunk frat boy trying to impress a girl with knowledge he learned that morning in class.
