as a school drummer, i’m actually really happy you said that, as drummers get a lot of hate “your instrument is so easy how could you mess up” when really, it’s hard to do fast drum rolls, and your fellow drummers have to match the exact rate your drumming at otherwise it won’t sound good, and also i’m all like we have notes too, we don’t just have to hit the drum, we gotta tap our drumsticks, the rim, hit one stick right before the other, have to do single stroke rolls and i ask people “okay what’s this note mean?” they’re all like “uhh i don’t know” i’m all like “EXACTLY DRUMMING IS HARD”
