How To Import Reference Images Into Clip Studio Paint (Manga Studio) | Clip Studio Paint Tutorial

In this tutorial video you can find out how to import reference images into Clip Studio Paint.
Reference images can come handy when you are learning human (or other) anatomy or when you want your artwork to look more realistic, more 3D.

You can actually import images into Clip Studio Paint to use as references. They will appear in a window area right next to your canvas. You can resize this area to fit your needs.
Clip Studio Paint allows you to import more images but only one is shown at a time. You can switch between them using the small triangle arrows at the bottom of the area.
That is also the place to find the import button and the clear button as well. The clear button will remove the actual image from your reference list.

Thank you. I have Clip Studio Paint Pro and when I clicked on sub view window it created a tab in the upper right hand corner by the page navigator. The reference image was tiny and I was frustrated because it was so small. I figured out I had to drag it out of there and on to the working area like you had it. Thank you for showing this option it will really help me as I used to just import to a layer underneath my paintings but that could be distracting.
