Did the dummy look real? We spent A LOT of money on it.

Captures the friendliness of our waiters in Vienna quite well.

What does he think the lemon is for? It's filled with condiments!

Based on my experience in Wien, that isn't even *half* a Schnitzel.

That overcooked premade supermarket schnitzel, potato salad on the edge of the plate, a a whole half a lemon and all of that on an IKEA plate. I love it 😂

Except in Vienna the waiter wouldn’t wait as you’re still talking, he’d just walk away 😂

„…und dann hab ich ihm den Schnitzelklopfer über die Rübe gehauen, Herr Richter“
„Klarer Fall von Notwehr. Nicht schuldig“

For those of you who don't understand Austrians:
Even the 'jo, gerne' at the beginning means 'I despise your cheerfulness. You're an annoying dick, start eating and don't call me soon because I have got work to do. Please also don't choke on it because if you do so you're annoying me even more.'

I studied abroad in Italy and for our weeklong spring break most people went on a whirlwind trip through as many countries as possible (good for them!!), but two of my friends and I decided to rent an airbnb and spend the whole week in Vienna. Best decision we could have made! We got to see a lot of the city, explore cultural monuments, and eat out at a bunch of different restaurants. In between nice meals I think I ate from a würstelstand like twice a day lol I loved those things. It made me really really fond of the city and I'd love to go back one day.

One of these days I’m gonna see an American with travel size ranch, ketchup, and hot sauce bottles in Europe… and I fear for their safety 😂

Have been in Vienna last winter... then one day strolling, we want to fetch something to eat. A little bit early.
The one Italian restaurant hadn't been open yet or had closed that day, so my wife looking around the corner goes like:
"Look there's an local one here."
We went in, ask for a table, server, donning quite the suit placing us, right next to the door, so we could look outside on the alleyway.
Other guests behind us get sent away - luckily we grabbed the last free table.
Then a queue was forming on the door, reaching back out of sight, guests coming in asking for reservations are told they have to ask back in half a year or so...

We, meanwhile get our food - incredible good Schnitzel. really soft, with a crust to die for. A little on the expensive side - but not outrageously so...

Well and that was, how we purely by chance stumbled into the 'Figlmüller' the self stated 'birthplace of the original Wiener Schnitzel' and one of those locations you don't get into (unless you know the Prime Minister or something...)

That is a very villainous look that conveys confusion, concern, empathy, anger and psychopathic rage all at once

Most of the time I’m annoyed by my home country, but then I see stuff like this and it makes me really happy 😊

Das durchschnittliche Kind in Österreich braucht eine halbe Ketchup Flasche pro mini Schnitzel ...😅😂
