Acoustic Measurements for the Masses - AJ Wykes (SoundGuys)

SoundGuys, the independent review website and ”voice for the world of consumer audio users across the world”, acquired its B&K 5128-B test head in late 2020. Since then, resident audio-acoustics engineer AJ Wykes has quantified the performance of over 300 commercial headphone products of various types. In this presentation, he provides observations based on the data collected, and what it tells us about the personal audio landscape in 2022. He also touches on the challenges involved in writing reviews and presenting measurements in a way that is accessible to a broad, general audience.
