The EB-3 visa process for employment-based immigration in the United States involves three main steps, each with its own timeline:

1. **PERM Labor Certification**: This is the first step and often the most time-consuming. The employer must obtain a labor certification from the Department of Labor (DOL), which involves proving that there are no qualified U.S. workers available for the job. The processing time for PERM certification can vary widely, taking anywhere from 12 to 18 months.

2. **I-140 Petition**: Once the PERM certification is approved, the employer can file an I-140 Immigrant Petition for Alien Worker with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). The processing time for the I-140 petition can range from approx. 15 days if using Premium Processing, to 6 months if using regular processing.

3. **Consular Processing or Adjustment of Status**: The final step depends on whether the applicant is outside or inside the United States.

For those outside, consular processing involves obtaining a visa through a U.S. embassy or consulate, which can take several months.

For those already in the U.S., the Adjustment of Status process involves applying to change their status to that of a lawful permanent resident, which can also take several months to over a year.

Overall, the entire EB-3 visa process currently takes about 3 years from start to finish.

it is more than 3 years for other workers / unskilled , now they are processing cases from 2020 . There is retrogression, so there so many applicants, but not enough eb3 ( Other workers ) visas . good everybody
