I've seen some Palestine supporters say stuff like "Hitler clearly had the right idea", and even "I'm starting to think Hitler could see into the future when he did what he did, perhaps he was trying to warn us and now look where we are!" Not sure if people like that were part of the poll but it's pretty depressing knowing that they exist either way.

The most terrible thing on October 7th is the fact that for the first time in history a huge massacre of innocent civilians, murder, rape, arson, kidnapping, all the hell that can be, was broadcast live. And there is no decisive fact from these broadcasts, despite this the immediate denial, the joy, the support, the jubilation, in the western academic world, on the street in European countries and the USA, is shocking. Hatred for Jews, for Zionism, for the Jewish world's right to a state erupted like a tsunami.

I'm certain if the question was "Was Hitler a good person?" The percentage of people answering "yes" would be much lower.

Hitler was undoubtedly a bad guy but he did have some good infrastructure ideas, so I could see answering that question that way or answering "unsure."

But maybe I'm being naive.

That question is awful. The options aren't equal. One side is all or nothing ("NO redeeming features") while the other is nuanced ("SOME good ideas"). But it doesn't detail what a "good idea" is.
Do they think vegetarianism is a good idea? Or do they think invading a sovereign nation is a good idea? There is no way of telling from this question output.
Based on what I'm seeing at 2:35, I don't think anyone could use this data in a serious manner.

I don’t think the people who answered actually support Hitler- they probably just thought “yeah Hitler must have had lots of ideas I’m sure one of them must have been okay”- people are complex so it makes sense

I find it very ironic that Kamala mentioned more research into sickle cell anemia when she went after an innocent woman named Cheree Peeples in her war on truancy program when she was the California AG. Her daughter has sickle cell and has to be frequently hospitalized, so Kamala had her prosecuted. It's a very good subject that I'd really like to see you cover.

The Hitler question was worded badly, especially for young people. Hitler was horrible but if you know he was an animal lover, vegetarian and made some good ideas for Germany that are still in place, then yeah, you can say he had some good ideas. I don't think they believe he was a good person, just that he had some good ideas
