The fight against kaido being longer than some animes I've seen is insane and very annoying when you wait every week for an episode but I think it heavily highlights just how important this was and how Luffy transitioned into beating an emperor and becoming one himself

I wonder how Toei is going to handle things moving forward. Considering how gorgeous the animation is looking and how long Gear 5 lasted (I believe it was only 4 episodes), I’m hoping the pacing issue is going to be solved.

The main issue with fishman island is how they take forever to give everyone a moment/fight scene because it's been literal years in real time, so luffy's fight with hordy was stretched across the rest of the strawhats fighting the fishman pirates with most of the fight itself being edging us with luffy and brotherhoshi (forgor his name) trying to get to the noah and then when they finally fight it's just 1-2 episodes of luffy clapping his cheeks

I loved Whole Cake, but that second half with big mom going crazy and katakuri was eternal, that whole part could have been 4 episodes and the arc would've been perfect

Even tho luffy vs crocodile was long. It still slapped harder than a black mom when her kids talk back

Most people don’t realize the pacing is bad because the anime is made quicker than the manga is written(3 chapters is like ~1-2 episodes depending on the chapter content) so they had to stretch things out and add filler to make sure the anime didn’t catch up to the manga so they didn’t go a weeks without an episode. The reanimation “The One Piece” is going to cut the filler and fix the pacing to be more like the manga to fix this problem.

YOU!! the first person I've seem that understands the kaido fight was waaaay too drawn out. I love One Piece as much as the next person but Jesus do I NOT need yet another recap during the Wano arc fir christ sake!
