Presenters:

Lauren Broyles, PhD. is a research health scientist at the VA in Pittsburgh. She works at the Center for Health Equity Research and Promotion. Her research is focused on nurse-delivered alcohol screening, and brief intervention and referral to treatment for hospitalized patients.

Richard Silbert, MD is a psychiatrist who has been working in the drug and alcohol co-occurring area. He has been a practitioner and prescriber for buprenorphine.

I appreciate that people are finally talking about antagonist therapy for opioids. Unfortunately it was left out one of the crucial benefits of Naltrexone (both oral and injectible): it curbs cravings as well, which greatly enhances a person's ability to focus on the counselling/therapy work.
