About This Week's Tutorial:
In this video tutorial, I will show you techniques for correcting perspective distortion.
We will start with a new retouch layer. We will then activate our guideline option and start creating help lines. After that, we will make a selection around the area that we want to correct and start with our Warping technique. Once we are done with all these techniques, we will again create a master layer and group all layers.

Quick reminder: When working with the Warp tool, use your navigator or zoom tool to zoom closer.

Thanks for the ideas. Especially for worping only a selection of the pic!

So I guess you're not at all concerned with the flare-out (distortion) to the sides so obviously present in the pool furniture where you did your "perspective repairs"? As well, it doesn't at all bother you that while those horizontal edges you fixed (quite nicely I admit by way of your technique here) seem to scream out for like-treatment with the pool-house's vertical lines?! I guess this wouldn't have bothered me 'cept that you don't say that "Next I'll be working on the vertical lines before the image is ready to go, hand-back to the client..." (Sorry if this seems a bit nit-picky BUT the folks who will be learning here will imagine that what you've shown here is acceptable as retouching. Just a thought.) The corrected lines in one part of this image rattle the viewer's mind's eye even with a casual look at the finished piece because other parts are so obviously still affected by the lens' wide angle "pincushioning" distortions. Great idea though.
