Thanks for pointing out where the sensor is. Both sides have the white/black latches so I didn't know what to do (tried holding the door with paperclips, no effect). I held the sensor and the printer initialized, and when I closed the door, it gave me a test page! Thank you! Saved my printer from the recycling depot.
