Same, just gave it a gentle “wiggle” as the sensor switch seemed to have gotten pushed out of place. It took less than 5 seconds to fix after watching this video. Thank you!

My fix today was a bottle cap duct taped on top of the bit on the door that connects with the bit on the chassis. Fixed it!!

This is exactly the problem I’m having with my 2017 Honda Pilot. I watched your video and removed the switch and since I don’t happen to have a new one handy I just put it back in and that has solved the problem. But now it doesn’t alert you if the door is actually open. How would I get the part number for the switch for my vehicle? Is the switch the white piece or the other part?

hello i want too bypass the hood latch on my hrv looking for parasitic draw i need a diode? and plug it into the connector? to fool the car that its close? wich connector the 2 top holes? and the 3 wire on the bottom?

Would it be the same for me? It pops up a lot while driving or just stays on. Specially when I turn right. If I pull the handle towards me (inside) it goes away, it goes away. If I smack the handle from the inside, it goes away. It seems to be thinking it has pressure on it pushing out even when I'm not touching the door panel.

For me it was one of the bolts on the door handle that came loose and was causing the dinging. Ironically the rest of the door handle itself was functioning properly.
