[Genshin Impact] (Old method) How to change game directory without re-downloading (PC)

Just a quick tutorial (without voice) on how to change Genshin Impact's game directory without having to wait 4 hours to reinstall.
Playing Genshin Impact on HDD is a pain, so I decided to move it to my SSD.
Feel free to leave a like if it worked for you :D

Update 2: This old method is unnecessary, please just use the new method.

Hey guys, quick tip cuz I was stressing out over this lol.

If it doesn't download the next update to the drive you redirected it to, when you open the launcher click the little settings icon in the top right.

from there in General Settings under Local Files, click Find Game Files and then click the new drive, genshin impact, then genshin impact game and then hit confirm


It should be good to update now. :)

When I tried to drag it onto my desktop it said “can’t be completed because the folder or a file in it is open in another program” I have nothing opened and I checked my task manager to see, I saw nothing..

It's actually my first time installing the game...once it was on 99% it then popped up a message saying "Game files verification error. Select "retry" to try again." so this vid can't really help me...I'm so pissed cause I waited for ike 3 days to download the game it ended just like that.

Um so I have this issue... The game will download to like 50, 60, or 70% and then just start from the beginning. Is it just me or does this happen to anyone else?
